Choose a consistent way to mark progress

This maze has more cells than the first-maze sheet, with narrower passages on the same paper. Start with a light pencil line. Agree on one small mark to mean “this branch has been checked” so the drawing remains readable when routes overlap during backtracking.

At a junction, choose an untried passage, follow it and return to the junction if it ends. Avoid changing marking systems halfway through. A consistent record is more useful than guessing which path seems closest to the bottom-right exit.

Compare strategies, not speeds

Two people can work on separate copies and then describe where they changed direction. Ask each to identify one dead end that helped rule out a branch. One may look several turns ahead while another follows each passage physically; both can produce a valid route.

The answer page identifies the connecting route, not every exploratory step a solver should take. It should not be used to penalize a legitimate wrong turn that was later corrected. This maze has no internal loops, so the entrance and exit have a single connecting path.

Make the paper comfortable to use

Print in portrait orientation and inspect one copy before a larger batch. If passages feel cramped, switch to the 10-by-10 resource rather than reducing the printed page to fit extra content beside it. Keep the maze area clear of handwritten instructions.

Customizing this sheet loads its exact code and difficulty. Keep those settings if you want matching copies; generating a new arrangement also creates a new solution. Save a PDF when you need a durable copy independent of future generator updates.

You may print or share this worksheet for personal, classroom and other non-commercial activities. See the terms of use. Review the sheet for your group; difficulty is not a certified age or curriculum level.
